Foreign nationals travelling to India for business purpose are required to obtain a Business Visa. The validity of visa will begin on the day of issue, not on the day of travel.
• General document requirements:

Passport with at least six months’ validity at the time of travel and at least two blank pages (please note that visa can only be issued till the date of expiry of passport)
One recent colour photo pasted on the application form (size 5 x 5 cm, white background, front view) More detailed photo requirements here.
Other than Finnish nationals: A copy of a valid residence permit or some other document confirming the period of stay of the applicant in Finland
Hard copy of Guarantee letter from the sending company (the letter must mention the requested visa duration and indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant)
Hard copy of personal invitation from the receiving company
No need of Biometric enrolment for visas less than 5 years.
A copy of visa fee payment receipt. Do not pay the visa fee beforehand, if applied for more than one year.
Additional documents at the discretion of Embassy
Note: Guarantee letter and personal invitation letter are required even if the two companies belong to the same corporation.
