National Day Reception to commemorate the 77th Republic Day of India.

The Embassy of India in Finland hosted a National Day Reception to commemorate the 77th Republic Day of India. The Chief Guest Sakari Puisto, Finland’s Minister of Economic Affairs, and Ambassador Hemant H. Kotalwar addressed the gathering. A group of Indian artists offered a soulful rendition of the Indian and Finnish national anthems, accompanied by traditional Indian instruments.

In his remarks, Minister Puisto highlighted the significance of the recently concluded India–EU Free Trade Agreement underscoring its potential to enhance bilateral trade, investment, and broader economic cooperation between India and Finland. The reception was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, senior Finnish officials, business leaders, media, and the Indian diaspora, reaffirming the strong and growing partnership between India and Finland.
